Success across markets
Renewable Energy
- Energy sources that can be naturally replenished are a logical long-term solution to the growing needs of humanity.
- Implementing projects to harness these energy sources involve complexities well suited to those experienced with industrial projects.
- With experience gained across industry sectors we are strongly placed to help Clients achieve their renewable energy goals.
- We provide strategic guidance to our Clients on hydrogen and biomethane scenarios, waste stream utilisation, and in the planning, tendering, contracting, and supervising of proprietary equipment installations, fabrication and materials delivery, and contractor works.
- We are growing our involvement in the renewables space and continually discussing ideas with key industry leaders and providing guidance as the country moves to a low carbon future.
Water infrastructure
- Providing a basic human need, a nations water infrastructure is an essential service. However, what is not always apparent is how vital maintenance and continual improvement are to its reliability.
- Big plans to bring existing infrastructure up to the required standards have put the three waters into focus across the country to ensure the security of drinking water, storm water, and wastewater.
- JGP are working with the New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) to enhance their project delivery systems in delivering key network improvement projects across the region.
Ports and Coastal
- Ports and maritime infrastructure provide a gateway to international trade and as such are vital to the national economy.
- As with any asset, major maintenance and continual improvement is required to stay functional and relevant.
- JGP works with Port Taranaki to assist in enhancing their project delivery systems. Alongside this, we are delivering several key infrastructure projects covering energy security, access control, and control room upgrades.
- Further afield, we helped in the development of through life asset management plans for the New Zealand navy fleet.
Chemicals and Manufacturing
- Manufacturing plants in New Zealand provide a major contribution to the economy through producing value-added commodities which are then exported to the international market.
- JGP manages major maintenance and turnarounds at some of the largest production plants across New Zealand covering plant equipment, piping, instrumentation and electrical, and control systems at methanol, ammonia, and urea production facilities, as well as product transfer and tank farm storage sites.
- Operating 24/7, these plants measure their downtime in hours and any maintenance is controlled with major capital budgets and within strict shutdown (or turnaround) timeframes.
Energy & Gas
- Gas provides energy to the New Zealand economy by enabling the high process heat required in primary industries and in steel production. Gas also provides a means to reduce the countries existing CO₂ emissions in power generation during dry month periods and peak energy demand.
- JGP actively pursues renewable gas opportunities that will provide energy security for New Zealand.
- Our team delivers upgrade and maintenance projects for transmission pipelines and network stations. We are also involved in the restart and maintenance of key gas treatment process works such as carbon dioxide scrubbing and conditioning to achieve specification gas suitable for transmission.
Power Generation
- The general need for energy security means keeping the lights on and homes warm and dry, but power use extends far beyond this. To cater for national electricity demands, energy sources need to include substantial energy storage, or to at least be diverse to allow for both reliable and renewable supply.
- We provide services to new and existing power generation plant projects of all varieties across New Zealand.
- Our experience in New Zealand, Europe, and the UK has covered the delivery of entire electricity generation plants and parts thereof, the developing safety management and permit to work systems, the management of equipment and installation warranties, and major shutdown works.
