Personnel Profile  

John Glavey

John has worked in Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Water and Primary Industries for 20 years starting out as a Resident Mechanical Engineer on the construction and commissioning of a 400 MW Combined Cycle Power Station. He worked as a Project Engineer and Project Manager on some of the most significant cross country pipeline projects in the UK in both natural gas and water, where his primary focus was on the above ground installations, pressure reductions stations and interconnections to existing network. He was involved in these EPC Contracts from preliminary design through to commissioning.

Over the past number of years John has called on his experience in Project Engineering and Project Management to successfully deliver on a range of Major Maintenance Projects. Some of these projects are outlined later but include planned campaign maintenance of offsite facilities, major maintenance of port loading and tank farm infrastructure, restart of a methanol production plant and the turnaround/shut down of major production plants.

John has a proven record of delivering successful Projects through strong leadership, organisation and decisiveness.  

Cathal Codyre

Cathal is a Project Engineer and has a number of years' experience in petrochemical and manufacturing since graduating with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2011.  He is focused and a highly motivated individual with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

Cathal has successfully delivered many projects and maintenance jobs in a turnaround environment.  He is involved from planning/scheduling through to execution and close out, and is recognised for his leadership in Health and Safety while maintaining schedule and cost.

Bradley Van Der Merwe

Bradley has a passion and “hands-on-approach” to project engineering and management. He has 16 years’ experience for the full project management lifecycle on various sizes of projects and managing multiple engineering and construction disciplines. He understands the client’s needs by managing contractors, consultants and vendors on behalf of them.

He has a BSc in Chemical Engineering and a background in Process Engineering, however because Project Management is his passion he has also obtained Project Management Professional (PMP) through PMI.  He is therefore proficient in PM processes and applies these in his daily tasks to ensure that project objectives are achieved. 

Peter Reilly

Peter has had a 30-year international career and personal life experiences which include a sporting and coaching background, to international levels. These experiences have moulded his personal and team management philosophies and provided a motivated, rounded person who displays an attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of organisations.

His initial area of expertise centred on instrumentation and control and emergency shutdown systems, electrical and process design. This included supervision of design teams, production of construction work packages, construction support, construction management, pre-commissioning and commissioning for projects and shutdowns. These projects were often delivered in live operational environments in Oil and Gas facilities and Power Development Projects. Multi-discipline interface liaison and supervision, management of installation contractors and sub contracts (many of which were international), site supervision and planning for shutdowns were an integral and significant part of responsibilities.

Positions of responsibility have ensured experience over a diverse range of projects, obtaining a broad knowledge across multi-disciplines and developing an understanding of all phases of projects, schedule, technical and commercial requirements, project delivery and construction support in New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Nigeria and Brunei.  

Matea Ropoama

Matea is a multi-skilled Project Engineer with over 13 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry since gaining his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Auckland University of Technology.

He has experience in all stages of EPCM projects including but not limited to; feasibility studies, front end engineering design, project planning, detailed engineering design, procurement, project controls, fabrication and construction, quality control, onsite installation and integration, turn-around coordination and execution, commissioning, maintenance, post project reviews, project procedures development and improvement. 

Jodi Magee

Jodi has over 15 years’ experience in office management and, cost and financial control. She has worked in the oil and gas, and petrochemical industries for the past 8 years. Prior to this she worked in the banking and financial sector.

She is proficient in a number of account/financial management packages and the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel. She has been responsible for cost control and reporting on major maintenance projects along with invoicing, accounts payable, payroll and P&L accounts.

Jodi is a dedicated, organised and motivated professional with excellent communication skills. She delivers concise and clear cost reporting customised to Project and Client requirements.

Vicki Roberts

Vicki has worked for over 10 years in Project Support and has been involved in some of the most significant Projects in recent years including new builds, major maintenance, restarts and turnarounds.

She is highly motivated with extensive experience in oil, gas, petrochemical and power generation industries, and thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Vicki is organised, honest and professional with remarkable communication & prioritisation skills in managing the diverse needs of all staff & clients.
